BLS for the Healthcare Provider

$75.00 Initial Certification (4 Hours 20 minutes)

$50.00 Re-Certification (3 Hours)

The NEW Initial BLS for the Healthcare Provider Course is for those individuals who have never had a CPR course and plan to work in the medical industry. This BLS for the Healthcare Provider Course is specifically intended for healthcare participants who currently work or plan to work in a healthcare setting. This course is 4 hours 20 minutes long and is intended for the person requiring BLS CPR certification.

BLS for the Healthcare Provider is video driven with frequent pauses for individual hands on skills and time for mock scenario practice.  All of the new American Heart Association’s 2005/2006 guidelines are presented and practiced. If the Healthcare provider has let their BLS card expire, that person may need to take the Initial BLS Healthcare Provider Course.

An American Heart Association course completion BLS Card is issued for two years to each participant in a BLS for Healthcare Provider course that successfully completes the written examination and performs a Skills demonstration. All participants are invited back as often as they like as many times as they like for one full year for FREE once they are certified by Infusion Community Training Center.

Each participant will be issued a new AHA participant manual along with a CD-Rom that includes the new updated guidelines for quick computer reference. Continuing Education Units are available for medical professionals requiring CEUs for their medical license.

The New Renewal BLS for Healthcare Providers Course is designed for those individuals with a current active BLS card. The current BLS card must be presented at the time of class. This course is three hours in length and covers the new performance AHA guidelines. Skills performance is demonstrated and a test is given (20 questions). An 84% must be achieved.

The AHA understands Healthcare Providers have knowledge and skills acquired from years of experience and past CPR certifications. An Online Renewal BLS for Healthcare Providers Course is now available. The renewal course allows the Healthcare Provider to complete Part 1 which consists of twelve mandatory checkpoints and take the online BLS test. All components but the psychomotor skills portion can be done online. An online Certificate will be generated when successfully completed. The individual will present the certificate to a certified AHA Instructor to demonstrate the skills of the Adult, Child, and Infant CPR (1 and 2 person using the new 2005/2006 Guidelines).  An AHA BLS Card will be issued upon satisfactory completion.
